Be Strong, Inspiring, Giving, Heroic.  Be a Donor!

Arkansas Blood Institute needs strong, inspiring, giving, and heroic blood donors to save the lives of local patients!

February 1 through April 30, blood donors will receive their choice of inspirational t-shirt in one of three featured colors: coral, sky blue, or gray.*

Through February 28, Central Arkansas donors (Little Rock, North Little Rock, Hot Springs and Russellville donor centers and area blood drives) receive a complimentary adult admission to the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock.*

Only ten percent of people in the United States who are eligible to give blood actually do.  Blood donation takes just about an hour, and each donation can save the lives of up to three patients.

Donors also receive free health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable at Arkansas Blood Institute’s online store.  If donors opt not to take the t-shirt, Arkansas Blood Institute will make a monetary donation to Global Blood Fund for blood center assistance in developing countries.

As part of the nation’s 6th largest non-profit blood collector, Arkansas Blood Institute’s donors provide every drop of blood needed for patients in more than 40 hospitals statewide.

It takes nearly 1,200 donors a day to meet those needs. Appointments to give blood are not required but can be made by clicking here to search for blood drives in your area or calling (877) 340-8777.

Or you can stop by one of our donor centers in:
Fort Smith
Hot Springs
Little Rock
North Little Rock
Russellville

Whole blood can be donated every 56 days.  Platelets can be given as often as every 7 days, up to 24 times a year.
